What is a chlamydia and gonorrhoea self-test?
Are you concerned that you may have contracted chlamydia or gonorrhoea? Our self-test can quickly and discreetly provide clarity. With this test, you can easily check whether you may be infected with one of these common STIs.
The test kit contains everything you need to collect a sample yourself: whether it is a urine test or a swab from the vagina, throat or anus. You will receive clear instructions that explain step by step how to do this safely and correctly. You then send the sample in the included return envelope to our certified laboratory. You will receive your result within a few days. Testing has never been this easy and reliable!
When is the best time to test for an STI?
There is always some time between the moment of infection and the moment when an STI can be reliably detected. This period is called the window period. If you test too early, the result may be negative even though you are infected.
For chlamydia and gonorrhoea, the following applies:
Chlamydia: reliably detectable from 14 days after the risk
Gonorrhoea: reliably detectable from 14 days after the risk
Therefore, wait at least two weeks after unprotected sex or possible exposure before taking the test.
